The Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah and FourPoints scheduled a phone software change according to a notice on the tribe's website.
The update was scheduled to occur after normal business hours on Thursday, Sept. 10.
As a result of the software change, individuals may be unable to reach the on-call provider on Thursday evening.
In the event of an emergency, individuals were advised to call 911 or visit the nearest emergency center.
While officials anticipated phones would be operational by Friday morning, they stated they would work urgently to resolve any remaining routing issues if they persisted.
For urgent matters during the transition, individuals were advised to visit an urgent care facility or an emergency room.
