Commissioner Jared Haddock recently participated in a statewide conference focused on data centers in Utah. Attending with county commissioners from across the state, Haddock noted that one of the key messages from the conference was that not all data center proposals are identical.
The conference discussions occurred as Carbon County officials continue to address various regional developments. In a separate recent presentation in Salt Lake City, Commissioners Larry Jensen and Jared Haddock met with the Utah State Tax Commission and members of the oil and gas industry to advocate for residents.
Other recent county updates include discussions regarding the challenges facing Carbon County's tax base and the importance of preparing for future developments. Additionally, the county previously clarified its role in supporting the 2026 High School Rodeo held at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
