A proposal for a 21-unit condominium development at 670 S West Temple Street has entered the design review process, according to a notice on the Salt Lake City website. The project, represented by Jarod Hall, seeks approval for a building that would include 12 one-bedroom units and 9 two-bedroom units.
The proposed development is located in the D-2 Downtown Support District on an approximately 8,167 square foot property. The building plans include a parking garage and lobby on the first floor, with residential units located on floors 2 through 4. The applicant is requesting a modification to allow for active use on the ground floor rather than an enhanced active use. The total proposed building height is 45 feet.
A public comment period for the proposal was scheduled from August 25 through October 9, 2026. During this time, the Planning Division evaluates the proposal against applicable standards and takes public input into consideration to develop a recommendation for the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will eventually hold a public hearing to gather additional comments before making a final decision.
The project is located in Council District 4, represented by Jennifer Napier-Pearce. Property owners and residents within 300 feet of the site were notified of the proposal to obtain public input.
