Mapleton Community Theatre launched its first production with Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella: Enchanted Edition. Directed by Kristina Holley, the performance showcased a community effort to bring a classic story to life through acting, design, and choreography.
The production featured a diverse cast, including Paige Nelson as Cinderella, whose vocal performance was noted for its bright sound and optimism. The ensemble included Ashlee Riggs as the stepmother, with Alyssa Stansel and Emma Ashby playing her daughters, Grace and Joy.
Other notable performances included Samantha Parks as the Fairy Godmother, Joshua Craft as Prince Christopher, and Maggie Gillespie as Queen Constantina. The ensemble also featured Michael Pulsipher as Lionel and Daniel Reese as King Maximillian.
Technical elements such as choreography by Emily Goates and costumes managed by Rochelle Zibetti contributed to the visual world of the show. The production included a striking transformation of Cinderella's attire and a carriage sequence involving horses transformed from mice. While sound design by Colton Purcell was generally excellent, some pacing issues occurred in the first act due to timing discrepancies between tracks and actor cues.
The production ran through June 27, 2026, at the Maple Mountain High School Auditorium. As the inaugural show for the Mapleton Community Theatre program of Mapleton Parks and Recreation, the production marked the beginning of a new theatrical presence in the community.
