A Uintah County man was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison after distributing fentanyl that caused the death of another individual. District Court Judge Howard C. , comes after 50-year-old Jerod Arthur Young, of Fort Duchesne, pleaded guilty on March 26, 2026, to distribution of fentanyl.

The North Sevier Cross Country Team shot off into their season this week with two meets. On Wednesday, August 26th the team traveled up to Duchesne at Starvation Reservoir for their first race.
