Lovine Aiulu Saili, 28, was killed on July 20 after the hood of her Hyundai Elantra came unlatched and flipped up as she drove eastbound on I-215 near Redwood Road in Taylorsville, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. She stopped between lanes and a semi-truck behind her was unable to stop and struck the rear of the car. Her family is now speaking publicly about their loss.
