Orem city leaders voiced their opposition to a proposed amphitheater in Provo Canyon as developers withdrew their original application for the project. In a statement released Thursday evening, the Orem City Council and Mayor Karen McCandless said the impacts of a proposed 20,000-capacity Vesper Amphitheater near the mouth of Provo Canyon were "too significant to ignore."
