Pirates gain early-season experience at Panguitch Tournament
PANGUITCH — The Green River Pirates opened the 2026 baseball season with a challenging stretch, beginning with a matchup against the defending 1A state champion Panguitch Bobcats before returning two days later for an early-season tournament featuring several of the state’s top programs. The season opener against Panguitch proved to be a difficult test for the Pirates.

Green River opens season on the road in Panguitch
The Green River Pirate baseball team opened the 2026 season on the road facing the defending State Champion Panguitch Bobcats. The Pirates struggled at the plate, collecting just one hit, and on defense, they were unable to slow the Bobcats, as they were handed a 19-0 loss in four innings.
