Spring Creek will conduct annual hearing screenings for students on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, according to a notification published Sept. 11. The screenings are conducted to identify children with potential hearing problems in accordance with state and federal laws.
The annual screening typically includes students entering preschool, Kindergarten through 3rd grade, 7th grade, and 11th grade. Other students included in the process are those in special education programs, students new to the school or district, and students with parent or teacher concerns.
The procedure is described as a simple process that takes only a few minutes. If a student is absent or does not pass the initial screening, they will be rechecked at a later date, and parents will be notified if concerns continue.
Parents or guardians who do not want their student to participate in the service should send a signed note with the student indicating they do not want the screening provided.
