The Castle Valley Water Advisory Committee scheduled a hybrid meeting for September 14, 2026. According to a meeting agenda posted to the town's website, the session was set for 9:00 a.m. at the Castle Valley Town Building and via Zoom.
The agenda included the approval of minutes from the June 8, 2026, and August 10, 2026, committee meetings. New business for the meeting included the appointment of a co-chair for the committee.
Priority action reports were scheduled to cover several water management topics. These included water rights, well metering, Castle Creek, aquifer monitoring, and non-potable water for cisterns. Other items on the priority list included the Grand County Watershed Protection Overlay District, the DRWi appropriations policy for Castle Valley, and exploring options for the protection of surplus water.
The committee was also scheduled to address questions regarding water banking or the use of the instream flows statute, following a previous presentation by Emily Lewis.
