BYU football players Cannon DeVries and Legend Glasker have been named to the Big 12 weekly award list, according to a September 7 report. DeVries was recognized as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week, and Glasker was named the conference Freshman of the Week.
Glasker, a former Lehi High School star, recorded three receptions for 65 yards and two scores during the Cougars' 63-7 victory over Utah Tech on Saturday. Glasker also recorded a rushing touchdown during the game.
DeVries earned his honors after returning a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown in the second half of Saturday's game.
The BYU team is scheduled to host the Arizona Wildcats in the season opener for both programs this coming Saturday.
