The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City issued a severe thunderstorm warning for west central Box Elder County in northern Utah.
Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm was located 29 miles north of Montello, moving northeast at 20 mph.
The storm was reported to bring hazards including 60 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
Impacts from the storm included potential injury to people and animals outdoors. Property damage was expected to include damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles from hail, as well as damage to roofs, siding, and trees from wind.
Locations impacted by the storm included Etna and Grouse Creek.
For protection, officials advised moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
