Two people died following a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-215 near 2300 North, according to a Utah Highway Patrol statement.
UHP troopers responded to the scene at approximately 16:37 hours on August 25th.
The collision involved a 2021 Subaru CrossTrek, a 2005 Jaguar S-Type, and a 2024 Ford F-150. The Subaru rear-ended the Jaguar, which was then pushed into the rear of the Ford.
The driver and rear passenger of the Jaguar sustained fatal injuries. The deceased were identified as 68-year-old Jody W. Thackeray of Ogden, Utah, and 40-year-old Desiree S. Thackeray of Ogden, Utah.
Lanes of the roadway were closed for approximately four hours while the scene was processed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
