The Grid City Music Festival was scheduled for August 21–23 to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The event was set to transform South Salt Lake's Creative Industries Zone into Utah's largest celebration of local music.
The festival was expected to draw more than 5,000 attendees for three days of music and community. It featured more than 70 Utah bands across 10 stages, nearly 90 world-class murals, local restaurants, artists, makers, and award-winning breweries.
The Commonwealth Room was scheduled to host the festival's free Opening Night Showcase on Friday, August 21. Performers for that showcase included the Terence Hansen Trio, Badfeather, and Advent Horizon.
Grid City is dedicated to showcasing Utah's local talent while supporting the independent businesses within The Zone.
