Alpine School District is alerting families to a recent uptick in phishing attacks. The district has provided guidance on digital defense to help parents and students avoid falling victim to these latest cyber threats.
In addition to cybersecurity updates, the district announced that state assessment results for thousands of students are now available for parents to review through the Skyward system.
The district is also managing several major transitions and infrastructure updates. A historic agreement has been approved by successor organizations regarding the distribution of assets and liabilities to ensure a smooth transition following the reconfiguration of the Alpine School District.
As part of these efforts, the technology team is working this summer to upgrade the student information experience by moving to Skyward Qmlativ. This follows previous preparations for the system upgrade announced in May.
In Eagle Mountain, a new school is scheduled to open this summer. Located west of Cedar Valley High School in the Pinna area, the yet-to-be-named school is part of the district's rapid growth.
Other recent district highlights include the launch of ASD OpenSciEd, a new elementary science curriculum. The district also recently celebrated School Nurse Day and recognized twenty-four educators with the Alpine Education Foundation Accent on Excellence Award.
Additionally, the district continues to support student well-being through initiatives such as school-based food pantries at locations like Riverview Elementary and the provision of healthcare access for employees through the EMI Health CareClinic.
