The Southern Utah Museum of Art is hosting multiple exhibitions to commemorate several significant anniversaries. According to the museum's website, these displays highlight the histories of the museum, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games.
The exhibition titled Art from Abstract to Zion: Celebrating 10 Years of SUMA was scheduled for June 5 through September 26, 2026. This display commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Southern Utah Museum of Art and the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts by showcasing the museum's permanent collection, including works from the vault that have not been previously shown publicly.
Another exhibition, The Play's the Thing: 65 Years of the Utah Shakespeare Festival, was scheduled for June 5 through September 26, 2026. This exhibit celebrates the 65th anniversary of the Festival through a display of props, costumes, programs, and photos from productions of Hamlet.
Additionally, Carrying the Flame Forward: 40 Years of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games was scheduled for June 5 through September 26, 2026. This exhibition invites visitors to explore the history and milestones of the Games.
The exhibition Artistic Visions: A Timeline of The Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts was also scheduled for June 5 through September 26, 2026. This display features two timelines tracing the individual histories of the Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Southern Utah Museum of Art to honor the legacy of Beverley Taylor Sorenson.
The Stillman Sculpture Court remains open year-round as a space for reflection and contemplation.
