The Mt. Olympus Improvement District issued a notice regarding the 2026 CIPP sewer rehabilitation project. The project includes video inspection, cleaning, and CIPP rehabilitation for approximately 9,100 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main and 568 linear feet of 10-inch sewer main.
According to a notice from the district, the scope of work also involves reinstating approximately 180 services, bypass pumping, permits, and traffic control. All work is located within the District's service area.
Sealed bids were scheduled to be received at the Mt. Olympus Improvement District office in Millcreek until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026. At that time, bids were to be opened publicly. The project was scheduled for completion by October 31, 2026.
Contract documents, including technical specifications and drawings, were made available starting May 5, 2026. These documents could be obtained electronically from the Mt. Olympus Improvement District at no fee.
Bidders are required to provide a bid security via a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid price. This serves as a guarantee that the winning bidder will execute the contract and provide necessary performance and payment bonds totaling 100 percent of the contract price.
The district stated that the award of work will be based on cost, availability, references, and experience. Contractors who have not worked within the district in the last five years may need to provide additional documentation, including references for at least three projects of similar size and scope completed within that timeframe.
A waiting period of 30 calendar days may be required following the bid opening before a contract is awarded.
