Crews were scheduled to place the final layer of pavement on 200 North between Fairfield Road and 750 East as part of the 200 North Reconstruction and Utilities Project. The paving was scheduled to occur on September 4 and from September 8 to September 10.
Paving operations were scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. each day, with work occurring on one side of the roadway at a time.
On Friday, September 4 and Tuesday, September 8, crews were scheduled to pave the north side of 200 North. During these operations, traffic was to be shifted to the south side of the roadway, and homes on the north side were to lose driveway access. Additionally, north-side streets at 300 East, 400 East, 500 East, 600 East, and 700 East were to be closed at 200 North. Vehicles traveling north were to be detoured via Fairfield Road and 750 East.
On Wednesday, September 9 and Thursday, September 10, crews were scheduled to pave the south side of 200 North. During this time, traffic was to be shifted to the north side of the roadway, and homes on the south side were to lose driveway access. South-side streets at 200 East, 300 East, 400 East, 500 East, and 600 East were scheduled to be closed at 200 North. Vehicles needing to travel south from 200 North were to be detoured via 100 East.
Residents and motorists were encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detours, and use caution when traveling through the construction area.
