Zavier Gozo, a 19-year-old winger from Eagle Mountain, has signed a five-year contract with London-based Crystal Palace Football Club, marking a record-breaking transfer from Real Salt Lake. The deal, announced August 18, is reportedly worth $15 million, setting a new club-record transfer fee for Real Salt Lake.

The transfer marks a significant milestone for the Utah-born prospect, who made his Major League Soccer debut in October 2023 at 16 years old. Gozo's departure from Utah follows a standout season in which he recorded six goals and five assists in 16 appearances, co-leading Real Salt Lake in goal contributions.
Contract and Transfer Details
Under the terms of the agreement, Real Salt Lake will retain a sell-on percentage of any future transfer for Gozo, according to Major League Soccer. Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish stated it was "great to welcome such an exciting young talent" to the London club, which plays its home matches at Selhurst Park.
Rising Star Achievements
Gozo's performance this season earned him a selection to the 2026 MLS All-Star team, making him the youngest All-Star in Real Salt Lake history at 19 years, 4 months, and 2 days old. In May, he became the youngest player in the club's history to score twice in a single match.
International and Academy Roots
Before his professional ascent, Gozo joined the Real Salt Lake Academy in 2021 to follow his older brother into the program. He has represented the United States at youth international levels from U-15 through U-23, helping the U.S. reach the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship final and the 2025 U-20 World Cup quarterfinals.
