Spring Run Park in Eagle Mountain was set to undergo a temporary closure for two to three weeks starting Tuesday, Feb. 28. The closure was required to install a concrete drive beneath the slide and upgrade the footing to improve equipment safety.
The project timeline was planned to allow time for the concrete to dry and to facilitate the installation of an upgraded slide. During the closure, the restricted area was to be clearly marked.
Eagle Mountain City encouraged residents to use Nolen Park as an alternative recreational space while the work was in effect. Because Spring Run Park serves as a school pick-up and drop-off site, officials encouraged parents to remind children to stay safe and avoid the work site.
The repairs were conducted by Parks and Rec.
