The Murray City School District Board of Education has announced a regular session meeting to be held on September 11, 2025. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. at the District Office boardroom located at 5102 S Commerce Drive, Building 1, in Murray, Utah.
In accordance with Utah Code §52-4-2, the session will be available for public viewing via a live broadcast on the Murray City School District YouTube Channel.
The meeting agenda includes several items for the consent agenda, such as the approval of minutes from August 14 and August 28, 2025. Also on the consent agenda are financial reports regarding expenditures, receipts, and claims, along with second and third readings for various board policies including school lunch, emergency safety interventions, and salary supplements for highly needed educators.
The Board will also hear from various delegations, including representatives from the Murray Council PTA, Murray Education Association, Murray Association of Administrators, Murray Education Support Professionals Association, and the Murray Education Foundation.
Staff reports for the session will cover a wide range of topics. These include updates on bond projects, library initiatives, and firearm safety curriculum for various grade levels. Other staff presentations will address student progress reporting, drug testing policies, and school LAND Trust funding.
The Superintendent is scheduled to present enrollment data and discuss fee requests and TSSA amendments.
Following the public portion of the meeting, a closed session will be held to discuss matters related to personnel, property, and legal issues.
Members of the public wishing to provide patron statements may sign up at the District Office boardroom starting at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Individuals requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act are instructed to notify Kristen Davis, Administrative Assistant, at least three working days prior to the meeting.
