Olympus High School has issued a warning to students regarding a scam text message that claims someone at the school sent a compliment. School officials advised students not to click links or reply to these messages, as they are phishing attempts designed to access personal information or accounts.
The school recommends that individuals who clicked the link in the scam message seek assistance from a teacher, the office, or the library to reset their passwords. Those with questions or concerns regarding the scam can contact the main office or IT support.
In academic updates, the school announced that the after-school ACT Prep Class was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 8th. Students interested in participating were required to sign up by Thursday, September 3rd.
Additionally, registration for the PSAT is open for juniors. This exam provides juniors the opportunity to qualify for National Merit Scholar recognition during their senior year. Students can register and pay through the Olympus Bookstore.
Principal Jen Christensen noted that students should continue to check in for Titan Flex Time each day. This resource allows teachers to provide extra help, answer questions, and offer additional student support.
