Highland Elementary is inviting families to participate in a Summer Reading Challenge held alongside Mrs. Chadwick’s Summer Bingo. The initiative encourages students to share their favorite books with the school community.
How to participate
Participants are encouraged to send a picture of themselves with a book they are reading and share what they love about it. Students who participate will receive a Summer Reading completion certificate and a prize during back-to-school night. Selected entries will be featured on the school marquee.
Summer office hours
The school office is currently operating on a summer schedule, opening from 8:00 AM to Noon every Wednesday. Notably, the office will close early at 11:15 AM on June 10th.
Yearbook order information
Regarding school supplies, Highland Elementary is looking into placing additional yearbook orders if a minimum of five orders is reached. Interested parties can contact Jennifer Harding via email to express interest.
Staff awards announced
The school also recently recognized its 2025-2026 Teacher and Employee of the Year, with Mrs. Lane named Teacher of the Year and Ms. Jennye named Employee of the Year.
End of year celebrations
As the school year concludes, Highland Elementary recently celebrated its 6th grade class of 2026 with a Park Day and Goodbye Breakfast. The school also announced its theme for the upcoming year, which is Be a Hero, Be You.
