The Utah County Health Department issued a Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) Warning Advisory for several locations at Utah Lake in July 2026.
The warnings applied to multiple sites including Lincoln Marina Beach, Saratoga Springs Marina Picnic Area, American Fork Marina, Lindon Beach Marina, and Lindon Marina.
In addition to the marina locations, warnings were in place for Salem Pond South Arm and Salem Pond Knoll Beach.
To monitor ongoing recreational water quality updates, officials directed individuals to visit the DEQ Recreational Water Quality website.
The public was advised that current conditions of Utah water bodies could be checked by visiting the DEQ website and selecting a specific body of water prior to visiting.
