The matchup, which features the fourth-ranked MLS side against the top-seeded Club León, is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado.
Real Salt Lake secured advancement to the knockout round based on its performance in Phase One, accumulating seven points from three matches. The club recorded an MLS-best goal differential of +7, outscoring opponents 8-1. This performance included back-to-back clean sheets against Atlante and Juarez, marking the most dominant consecutive games in the club's 22-year history.
This upcoming quarterfinal is a rematch of the 2023 Leagues Cup Round of 32, where Real Salt Lake defeated Club León 3-1. In that previous meeting, Danny Musovski scored twice and Cristian Arango scored in the final 20 minutes to secure the victory for the Utah side.
In addition to the Leagues Cup, Real Salt Lake returns to Major League Soccer action on Saturday against the visiting Minnesota United FC. The match will take place at America First Field with a 7:30 p.m. MT kickoff.
