Northern Arizona's men and women cross country teams each won team championships at the George Kyte Classic at Buffalo Park.
According to a report by Mid-Utah Radio, the Lumberjacks' men's squad secured the title with a score of 15.
The men's team results for the event included the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in first place with 15 points, followed by the Utah Tech Trailblazers in second with 57 points, and the Grand Canyon Lopes in third with 72 points.
Manny Perez of Northern Arizona won the men's 4.5 mile individual championship with a time of 22:05.80. Erik Le Roux, Broen Holman, Dylan Blair, and Clay Shively also placed in the top five for Northern Arizona.
The Northern Arizona women also won the team title with a score of 15, finishing ahead of the Grand Canyon Lopes in second with 62 points and the Utah Tech Trailblazers in third with 65 points.
Ava Mitchell of Northern Arizona won the women's 2.5 mile individual championship with a time of 14:41.90. Emma Stutzman and Elsa Sundqvist finished second and third respectively for Northern Arizona.
The George Kyte Classic featured competition from several institutions, including Utah Tech and Grand Canyon University.
