Iron County School District has announced changes to YouTube access for students in response to new requirements for parental consent for all K-12 students under the age of 18.
The district will implement a block on YouTube access for all elementary and middle school students. High school students remain the only group with the option to access the platform, provided they have parental consent.
A parental consent form has been made available specifically for parents or guardians of high school students. This form allows for permission to be granted for students to use YouTube when they are utilizing the Iron County School District network.
This access also extends to instances where a student is using a computer or other device assigned to them by the school or the district.
To begin the consent process, parents are instructed to enter their preferred email address into the provided form.
