The Kaysville Rotary Club has announced it is sponsoring a Meet the Candidates Night scheduled for Monday, October 2. The event will take place from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Davis Technical College Allied Health Building, located at 550 East 300 South in Kaysville.
Meet the Candidates Event Details
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the 2023 City Council candidates. The evening is structured to include a Meet and Greet session, followed by short introductions from the candidates and a debate-style discussion.
Upcoming Community Safety Initiatives
In addition to the candidate event, several community safety initiatives and local updates have been announced for the upcoming months.
Fire Department Annual Open House
The Kaysville Fire Department will host its Annual Open House on Wednesday, October 11, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the fire station located at 175 South Main Street. The event coincides with Fire Prevention Week, which runs from October 8-14. The open house will feature tours of fire vehicles, ambulances, and the fire station, as well as an extrication demonstration, a medical helicopter landing, vendor displays, and prizes.
Police Department Trunk or Treat
The Kaysville Police Department is also planning a Trunk or Treat event on Monday, October 30, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The activity will be held in the parking lot of the Kaysville Police Station at 81 North Main Street.
Infrastructure and Holiday Updates
Residents should also note upcoming infrastructure and holiday updates.
The intersection of Burton Lane and 50 West, including the Burton Lane overpass, will be closed from Monday, September 25 through October 26 for roundabout construction. While access to Ponds Park parking lots remains open, drivers must use detour routes.
Kaysville City offices will be closed on Monday, October 9, in observance of the Columbus Day holiday, though garbage collection is not expected to be delayed.
