The Dutch John Town Council is scheduled to hold a work and business meeting on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. According to a September 22 notice, the meeting will begin with a work session at 6:00 p.m. followed by a business meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The work session is set to cover several items, including offers to the Sheriff's Office and Flaming Gorge EMS & Fire. The agenda also includes discussions regarding the fee schedule and a budget amendment.
During the business meeting, the council will address the consent agenda, which may include meeting minutes, expenditures from the voucher list, and correspondence. The council also has scheduled discussions and potential actions regarding business licenses and the selection of contracts for a fire station remodel and a fire station roof replacement.
Various reports are scheduled for the meeting, including updates from the Mayor, the Volunteer Fire Department, Planning and Zoning, Building and Grounds, and the Cemetery. The council will also hear reports regarding the Freedom Festival scheduled for July 3, 2027, and the America 250 Utah Celebration.
Other agenda items include an update regarding the DJ57 disconnect request and a possible closed session to discuss litigation.
