According to a notice on the St. George city website, the Junior Pickleball League for youth ages 13 to 18 is organized at the Little Valley Pickleball Complex.
The league offers both an Endless Summer League and a Fall League, with matches typically held on Wednesday evenings.
The Endless Summer League was scheduled to run from August 19 through September 23. Registration for this session opened on Tuesday, July 21.
The Fall League is scheduled to run from October 21 through December 2. Registration for the Fall League opens on Tuesday, September 1.
According to the city, the Fall League uses a ladder format where players are placed into groups of four or five based on their percentage of possible points. These groups play a round-robin format. The league notes that skill levels may be combined depending on participation and court allocation. No partner is required, and substitute players are not allowed; players who send a substitute will forfeit their season participation.
For the Endless Summer League, registration offers an early bird special for the first three days. Residents can register for $38 and non-residents for $49.40. The regular pricing is $40 for residents and $62.40 for non-residents. This early bird pricing is also available to those on a waitlist if they register within the first three days of registration.
Matches are held on Wednesdays with check-in beginning at 6:30 p.m. and matches starting at 7:00 p.m. Players must check in weekly prior to match time or they forfeit their matches. Matches must be played with a Franklin x-40 ball, which is provided by the league desk.
The league does not hold sessions on Wednesday, November 25, due to the Thanksgiving break. Yolande Richmond serves as the league director for youth leagues.
