Chimi, a 10-year-old Chiweenie and resident of Ogden, is seeking a permanent post-retirement home, according to a September 8 report from The Ogdenite. Currently employed as a charmer at the Golden Bark Foundation, the senior dog is looking for a family that can accommodate his energetic personality and medical requirements.
Chimi is described as an active and lively senior who enjoys activities such as car rides, walks, and visiting Dumke Arts Plaza to use the water mister. While the dog is noted for being loyal and affectionate, he is also characterized as being stubborn, vocal, and occasionally mouthy when seeking treats.
Due to a heart murmur and mitral valve disease, Chimi requires daily medication costing approximately $45 and medical check-ups twice per year. Potential adopters would need to be able to afford these ongoing medical costs. Chimi's ideal environment includes a home with a yard to accommodate his energy and a family with older children who can respect his boundaries.
Chimi is described as a goofy dog who enjoys food but is not a fan of vegetables. His temperament is described as chaotic unless he is being exercised or relaxed with scratches.
