RECEIPT OF BIDS: Separate sealed BIDS or Electronic Submittal using Bonfire for the construction of the 2027 Concrete Project will be received by Taggart Bowen, City Engineer at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, 56 North State, Orem, UT 84057, or opened electronically on Bonfire until August 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. The preferred method for submitting a bid is by using Bonfire at utah.bonfirehub.com (Select the search bar > > enter “City of Orem” > Enter).
BIDDING QUESTIONS – Use Bonfire to submit questions and download documents relating to bid items, specifications, and other technical questions. The project engineers are Erica Zaugg, 801-229-7549 and Dallin Marsh,801-229-7478. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the City Center, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057 in the Community Development Conference Room.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained July 29, 2026 on Bonfire or at the City of Orem, Engineering Division, Community Development Offices, 56 North State Street, Orem, UT 84057. There is no fee from the City to obtain the documents on Bonfire. There will be a $20.00 non-refundable fee for a copy of the plans and specification. (An additional $5.00 service charge will be assessed if the plans and specifications are to be mailed).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Replacement of concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive approach, ADA ramps, and asphalt. Installation of new concrete sidewalk, curb, gutter, and ADA ramps. On 400 W from University Parkway to approximately 1386 S in Orem, install 535 lineal feet of sidewalk with bus pads and ADA ramps. The engineer’s estimate for the work is $750,000 to $850,000.
SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located throughout Orem and at 400 N between 950 E and 1200 E. WORK is also located at 400 W between University Parkway and approximately 1386 S.
