The Eureka City Council scheduled a regular meeting for Sept. 14, 2026, according to a Sept. 13 notice. The meeting is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at 15 North Church Street in Eureka, Utah.
The agenda for the meeting includes discussion and action items regarding a WUI ordinance and map, a surplus land purchase by Andy Camarena, and a special event permit for the BPOE Elks Cornhole Tournament. Additionally, the council will address a request from Janet Larson, Nick Castleton, and Nina Higgs to move a Eureka fire truck from the Grantsville Fire Museum back to Eureka for display. Other items include topics involving Jess Peterson, Dan Fechner of Jones & DeMille, and a project involving street signs, sidewalks, and a cemetery memorial.
The consent agenda includes the approval of the August 24, 2026, minutes, the August 2026 treasurer's report, and claims against the city from Aug. 14, 2026, to Sept. 17, 2026. Reports are also expected from the Recreation and Planning committees, various council members, and Mayor Robert Jenkins regarding topics such as the memorial building repair, the library, and abandoned buildings.
