A woman was taken into custody in Sanpete County after allegedly killing her father. The Sanpete County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on a Saturday regarding the shooting.
The incident occurred along highway 117 near Wales after a person reported that her sister had shot her father.
Deputies arrived at the scene and apprehended 43-year-old Aidan Marisa Woods. According to reports, Woods allegedly admitted to shooting her father at the scene.
Woods was booked into the Sanpete County Jail. In addition to murder charges, she faces three misdemeanors involving drug paraphernalia and the possession of controlled substances.
Woods is currently being held in the Sanpete County Jail without bail.
