Draper City scheduled a Truth in Taxation public hearing for August 12, 2026, to discuss proposed property tax rate increases, according to an agenda posted August 7.
The meeting, which was set to begin at 6:00 PM, provided an opportunity for Draper City residents to provide public comment on proposed property tax rate increases for both Salt Lake County and Utah County.
The public hearing was scheduled to take place at the City Council Chambers located at 1020 E. Pioneer Rd. in Draper, Utah. During the meeting, residents living in Draper City within Salt Lake County and Utah County could provide comments regarding the proposed increases.
Public comments were limited to three minutes per person. Residents were instructed to state their name and address for the public record before speaking. Comments that could not be made within the three-minute limit were to be submitted in writing to the city recorder.
The meeting was designed for participation via electronic means through Zoom. The agenda noted that no action would be taken during the hearings regarding the proposed property tax rate increases.
