Payson City announced the appointment of Joshua Reidhead as the new City Engineer in a report published August 21, 2026.
Reidhead will officially begin serving in the role on September 8, 2026.
Before joining Payson City, Reidhead worked as a Project Engineer for Water Works Engineers. He holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University.
The City Engineer is responsible for private development administration, planning, design, scheduling, and the maintenance of municipal development projects. The role also involves creating maintenance and design standards and ensuring regulatory compliance during plan reviews.
Public Works Director Travis Jockumsen stated the city is excited to have Reidhead assist with private development administration and the oversight of municipal projects. Jockumsen noted that Reidhead's experience in project management and working with contractors will be invaluable to the city.
Reidhead, a native of Springville, Utah, expressed excitement about working with the residents and staff at Payson City. He stated he looks forward to working for a safer and more connected community while navigating growth alongside the municipality.
