A water main break on Cross Hollow Road caused water to flow onto the roadway on September 19. The break, which had an unknown cause, resulted in service interruptions for residents west of the road.
Crews worked on the repairs throughout the day. Residents in the Providence and Leigh Hill areas were asked to turn off all outside watering to assist the system in refilling tanks while it pressurized.
By 9:00 AM, repairs on the water main were completed and the system was attempting to return to full pressure. Officials estimated the system would reach full pressure around 12:00 PM.
