In a notice published August 31, the Millard County Planning Commission announced a public meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 3, 2026. The meeting is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Millard County Offices located at 71 South 200 West in Delta, Utah.
The agenda for the meeting includes several legislative items and public hearings. One public hearing involves Application #Z-2026-067, which requests a zone change from Agriculture to Range & Forest for approximately 40.0 acres of property located at approximately 794 N 7000 W in Hinckley. The applicant for this request is Bonnie Tolbert.
Another public hearing will address Application #Z-2026-042, which proposes to amend the Millard County Zoning Map to create a new overlay zone for Large-Scale Energy Projects. The commission will also review and provide possible recommendations for both of these applications.
Additional administrative items on the agenda include the review of a conditional use permit application for a commercial campground at approximately 17058 S This is The Way in Cove Fort, submitted by applicant Blake Campbell. The commission is also scheduled to hold a discussion regarding uses in the Heavy Industrial Zoning District and review the minutes from the August 6, 2026, Planning Commission meeting.
