Peekaboo Canyon Wood Fired Kitchen will celebrate 10 years in business with a special anniversary event on Saturday, Oct. 3, according to a September 30 report. The celebration, scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m., will feature the rollout of a new menu, free tastings, and a 25 percent discount on new menu items.
The event at the Center Street restaurant will also include a complimentary dessert for table orders exceeding $25. Standard local discounts on regular menu items will remain applicable. A collection of new menu items is scheduled to debut during the anniversary celebration.
Opened in the fall of 2016 by Gregory and Julie Castle along with Francis and Silva Battista, the restaurant was established to introduce vegetarian and vegan food to Southern Utah. It remains the only establishment in Kane County with a fully vegetarian and vegan menu. The menu features wood-fired pizzas and fan favorites such as Impossible, Beyond Meat, and portobello burgers.
Co-owner Silva Battista stated that the restaurant was inspired by visiting small towns with niche restaurants that possessed a unique character and great food. Battista noted that Gregory Castle passed away in 2025 and will be missed during the occasion.
Peekaboo Kitchen has received multiple hospitality awards, including Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award, and has been featured on KUTV 2’s Taste of Utah. Co-owner Francis Battista mentioned that his favorite recognition comes from Italian tourists who have praised the restaurant's pizza.
The anniversary specials and discounts on selected items are scheduled to continue through October. The celebration will take place at 233 W Center St, Kanab.
