The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), working with the Utah Division of Emergency Management, is currently updating Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Weber County. As part of this process, FEMA has developed a revised floodplain affecting specific areas within Marriott-Slaterville City.
These revised maps may impact properties in the area. If a structure is identified as being located within the one percent annual chance floodplain, owners may face limitations and could be required to purchase flood insurance.
A virtual public meeting was scheduled for May 18, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to discuss these changes. During the meeting, the revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps will be available for review, allowing attendees to ask questions and provide comments regarding how the new maps might affect their property.
