Sara Liane Huitt passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2026, while surrounded by her family. The obituary for Huitt was published by Mitchell Funeral Home, Inc. - Price on August 17, 2026.
Born on April 19, 1949, in Philipsburg, Montana, to Horace Bill and Vera Elzina Cathey, Huitt spent time living in Arco and Driggs, Idaho, before moving to Utah. During her time in Utah, she gave birth to Kenneth William and Diana Rae.
In 1984, Huitt married John Huitt. Together, they lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, Moab, Utah, and Altamont, Utah, as John worked in teaching, coaching, and school administration roles. Over 42 years, they raised three grandchildren: Ashley, Cody, and Kyle, as well as two great-grandchildren, Domonick and Hannah.
Huitt was a certified nursing assistant and was known for her skills in sewing and arts and crafts.
Huitt is survived by her husband, John Huitt; children Kenneth Parsons and Diana Parsons; grandchildren Ashley, Cody, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Hannah, her fiancé Josh, and Domonick; and great-great-grandson Grayson. She is also survived by her sister Laura and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother-in-law, Laran.
A celebration of life was scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, located at 233 East Main St. in Price, Utah. The family expressed gratitude to Utah Valley Hospital, Symbii Home Health and Hospice, and Mitchell Funeral Home for their care.
