Governor Spencer Cox has declared a state of emergency for three Utah counties hit hard by flooding. The declaration covers Beaver, Piute, and Sevier counties and is expected to last for at least 30 days.
This measure is intended to expedite help from both state and federal agencies as more flooding is anticipated in some areas.

In Iron County, local municipalities are implementing fireworks restrictions for Pioneer Day. Parowan City is restricting the discharge of fireworks to a single designated area.
In Cedar City, officials will limit fireworks use specifically to July 24 through July 25. Personal use of fireworks in these areas is restricted to locations shown on a provided map.
