Salt Lake City is conducting pavement overlays at several locations throughout the city, according to a notice on the city's website. These projects involve removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt to create a smoother driving surface and extend the life of the roadways.
In an August 2026 update, the city stated that construction is underway. Work includes the replacement of select driveway approaches, sidewalk panels, and sections of curb and gutter. Some locations may also include the installation of speed bumps.
Construction at each location is expected to last approximately 4 to 5 weeks, though schedules are subject to change due to weather, site conditions, and material availability. Actual work activities may vary as project conditions evolve.

Concrete work on Ramona Avenue has completed, with repaving anticipated to happen later this year.
Concrete work began the week of August 24 on Cannon Oaks Place and is expected to continue for about one week. Repaving there is also anticipated to happen later this year.
Wolcott Street overlays are scheduled to be completed in 2027.
