The City of St. George issued a notice regarding the 2025 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) in a report published September 1. The report serves as a financial and public benefit summary regarding the city's use and expenditures of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, located at 61 South Main, to provide comments on the CAPER for the 2025 program year. A draft version of the report will be available for review and comment from September 15, 2026, through October 1, 2026. The document can be viewed online at www.sgcityutah.gov, at the City’s Community Development Department in City Hall, or at the St. George Branch of the Washington County Library.
The CAPER evaluates how the city used federal funds during the previous program year to meet priorities identified in the adopted 2025 Annual Action Plan. It also assesses how the city leverages other resources to meet community needs and priorities. The city intends to submit the report to the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) on or about October 2, 2026.
Written comments may be submitted to Brenda Hatch via email or delivered to the Community Development Department at 61 South Main Street, St. George, Utah 84770. The city stated it will make efforts to provide reasonable accommodations for disabilities and language translation assistance with at least 24 hours advance notice.
