The Cedar City Council is scheduled to hold a work meeting on Sept. 16, 2026, according to a notice published Sept. 14.
The meeting is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the City Office, located at 10 North Main Street. The Council Chambers may serve as an anchor location for electronic participation.
Agenda items for the session include a discussion regarding Care and Share current services levels and mitigation funding status with James Jetton. The Council will also consider the appointment of Pam Branin, Tim Marriott, Craig Corry, and Cleave Weaver to the Cedar City Cares Committee, as proposed by Mayor Nelson.
Additional business includes a consideration for the purchase of a roll-off dumpster truck for $218,005, presented by Matt Baker and Jeff Lennert. The meeting will also feature a public hearing regarding a resolution for budget amendments for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, and a consideration of a resolution to adopt the Cedar City Fund Balance and Reserve Policy, both presented by Terri Marsh.
