Alpine City released a series of community updates in a report published September 11, 2026, detailing upcoming recycling events and seasonal permit availability.
A free shredding and eWaste recycling event was scheduled for Sept. 19 at City Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event accepts recyclable electronics such as cell phones, computers, laptops, tablets, and flat screen TVs, but does not accept batteries, light bulbs, or CRT TVs. Paper recycling is permitted if items are removed from 3-ring binders and metal binder clips are removed, though staples and paper clips are acceptable. There is a limit of three boxes per household.
According to the September 4 statement, open burn permit applications will be available from Sept. 15 through Oct. 31. Residents can apply via the city website or contact LP Fire at 801-763-5365 with questions.
