Centennial Middle School has announced its upcoming Back-to-School Event, scheduled for Monday, August 17. The event will run from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and is designed in an open-house format so families can attend at a time that fits their schedules.
During the event, attendees will have opportunities to tour the school, meet teachers briefly, join the PTA, and schedule meetings with counselors. Families can also print student schedules and enjoy light refreshments.
The event provides a venue for families to complete several administrative tasks. This includes updating information in PowerSchool, which is a required annual process, and paying school fees.
To ensure an efficient experience, the school encourages families to complete certain tasks before arriving. It is recommended that parents update child information in PowerSchool and pay school fees in advance to reduce wait times. Additionally, families are encouraged to have student schedules printed or available on a mobile device. Schedules will be available for viewing starting August 12.
The Finance Office will offer additional office hours for fee payments prior to the event, with specific dates and times to be shared soon. The school also hopes to process school fees through an online payment portal.
Completing tasks ahead of time is intended to allow families more time to explore the school and meet with teachers.
