The Farmington City Historic Preservation Commission scheduled a meeting for July 27, 2026, to address several community and preservation topics, according to a notice published July 23. The meeting was set to take place at 6:00 PM at 160 S Main St.
The agenda for the July 27 meeting included a discussion regarding the Festival Days booth and parade. Additionally, David Amott from UDOT was scheduled to discuss I-15 widening mitigation at 6:15 PM. The commission also planned to approve minutes from the previous meeting held on May 18.
During the May 18 meeting, the commission voted unanimously to change the Historic Preservation Bylaws to require a yearly vote for the president term limit. Members also discussed preparations for Farmington Festival Days, including booth setup at Forbush Park and various logistical needs. Other topics discussed during the May session included a proposal for a plaque program for historic homeowners, museum landscaping, and the preservation of the Clark Home.
The May 18 meeting concluded with the unanimous approval of the minutes after a correction was made to the spelling of Steffanie Sanders. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 PM.
