Centennial has announced the upcoming Centennial’s Got Talent program, which provides students an opportunity to showcase their talents as part of the end of the school year celebration.
The event will feature semi-finals on Wednesday, May 20, and finals on Thursday, May 21, at the Centennial Auditorium.
The program includes various participation categories, such as performance acts like singing, dancing, and acting, as well as non-performance entries including art, design, and creative writing.
For the performance category, auditions are scheduled to take place during PACK from May 5 through May 7. Students participating in auditions should prepare two pieces and submit music in mp3 format in advance.
Non-performance entries must be submitted via email to Ms. Brown or Mrs. Murray by May 14.
An adjusted bell schedule will be in effect during the semi-finals and finals, though school will still start and end at regular times. During these days, students will rotate between outdoor activities and performances.
Parents are asked to ensure that children wear appropriate attire and outdoor footwear for these activities.
The selection process involves voting by students and teachers using established rubrics, with finalists being selected from the semi-finals.
Key dates for the program include registration opening on May 4, performers being announced on May 8, and final performance materials being due on May 12.
