The Box Elder County Board of County Commissioners will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, according to a notice published Sept. 11. The meeting is scheduled to include an administrative and operational session starting at 11:15 a.m., followed by a regular commission meeting at 11:30 a.m.
The meeting will take place in the Commission Chambers of the Box Elder County Courthouse, located at 01 South Main Street in Brigham City. Officials noted that a member of the Board of Commissioners may participate via phone or other electronic means rather than appearing in person.
Agenda items for the regular meeting include an invocation by Chairman Vincent and the Pledge of Allegiance led by County Assessor Cory Wilde. The commission is scheduled to review the minutes from the Sept. 2, 2026, meeting and discuss several items, including an interlocal agreement with Cache County for indigent defense services and a public utility franchise agreement with Rocky Mountain Power.
Additional scheduled topics include a presentation regarding the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission awards for James Peasnall-Val Potter, a request to purchase a surplus parcel, and a memorandum of understanding for a weed-free gravel inspection course.
